Terms of Service
ScaabssTweaks changes Windows settings to tune a PC for gaming. Every change is recorded with its prior value and can be reverted for free. Read the "Your PC, your call" section: you decide what gets applied, and you are responsible for that choice.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and ScaabssTweaks LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using ScaabssTweaks (the "app"), the website, or ScaabssTweaks Pro, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data.
2. The license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on computers you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. The free features may be used on any number of your PCs. Pro may be active on up to two PCs per account at a time. The app is licensed, not sold; we keep all rights not granted here.
3. Free and Pro
Free features never require an account or payment: scanning, viewing what every tweak does, the critical display fix, Monitor, Net Bench, the Journal, Bench Lab results, and revert. Pro, a paid subscription, adds applying tweaks and the other features listed on the website at the time you subscribe. We may improve, change, or remove individual tweaks as Windows, drivers, and games change; reverting your own changes always remains free.
4. Accounts
Accounts use Discord login. You are responsible for your Discord account and for activity under it. One account per person; do not share it or resell access. Signing out of the app on a PC frees that PC's Pro slot.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
- Seller. Payments are processed by Stripe acting as the merchant of record: Stripe is the seller on your receipt and handles payment, tax, and billing.
- Renewal. Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. We will tell you before any price change applies to your renewal.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time from Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Contact us at the email below. Refunds are issued through Stripe according to its policies and any rights you have under the law where you live. A refunded or charged-back payment ends Pro.
6. When Pro ends
If your Pro subscription ends for any reason (you cancel and the paid period is over, a payment is refunded or charged back, or a renewal finally fails after Stripe's retries), the next time the app runs and confirms that Pro has ended, it automatically reverts the changes it made with Pro, using its change journal, and shows you a notice.
- Every free feature stays available, and the free critical display fix is not reverted.
- Changes that removed Windows apps at your request cannot be reinstalled automatically; the notice links a guide for each.
- If the app is offline, it reverts once it can confirm your status, or when its saved sign-in expires (up to 14 days without a check-in).
- If you uninstall the app or do not run it, no automatic revert happens. You can revert any change at any time, for free, from inside the app.
7. Your PC, your call
The app modifies Windows settings, services, scheduled tasks, power and network configuration, driver settings, and game configuration files, only when you choose to apply them. Before you apply, each tweak shows what it does and how it reverts; tweaks marked High Risk state their claimed benefit and real cost and apply only with your explicit consent. Performance results depend on your hardware and software and are not guaranteed.
You are responsible for deciding what to apply to your computer. Keep backups of anything important. Some changes (for example to security features, Windows Update, or anti-cheat sensitive settings) can affect security, stability, or a game's rules; read each card's disclosure before applying. Review a game's terms if you are unsure whether a setting is allowed.
8. Acceptable use
Do not: share, resell, or publish Pro content (including the steps and values the app downloads for Pro); bypass the account, device, or payment checks; reverse engineer or modify the app except where the law gives you that right; or use the app or our services to harm others or other systems.
9. Our Discord server
The Pro role in our Discord server is linked to your subscription and is removed when Pro ends. Server rules apply there, and Discord's own terms apply to your use of Discord. We may remove access for rule violations.
10. Third parties
Windows, Discord, Stripe, NVIDIA, Epic Games, Fortnite, and other names belong to their owners. ScaabssTweaks is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Links to third-party tools and guides are provided for convenience; their terms apply to them.
11. Updates and changes
We may update the app and these terms. When we change these terms materially we will update the date above and announce it in the Discord server; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
12. Ending use
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end access to Pro or accounts for violations of these terms. Revert stays available in the app regardless.
13. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the app and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the app is error-free or that every change suits every PC.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, ScaabssTweaks LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or game progress, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you cannot waive by law.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence gives you consumer protections that cannot be overridden.
